Stanley Stocker’s stories and other prose have appeared or are forthcoming in Harvard Review, Transition Magazine, Arkansas International Review, Kestrel, Best Debut Short Stories 2021, on the Short Story Today podcast and elsewhere.
His work has been supported by the Creative Power Award, the PEN America/Robert J. Dau Prize, the Baldwin for the Arts Fellowship, and as a finalist by the 2022 Best Spiritual Literature Award — Fiction, the Paul Cuffe Scholarship from the Cuttyhunk Island Writers Residency, and the Maryland State Arts Council. He is revising a novel. Stanley is a graduate of Amherst College and Harvard Law School. He lives in Maryland with his family.
